This is the thread that ties the reflections, stories, adventures and passions of a Nuevo Mexicana who arrived in the Land Down Under via southern Spain.
The Avenue des Champs-Élysées sure sparkles at Christmas time! It isn't hard to see why in France the street is known as the most beautiful avenue in the world.
Hi Kathy, Paris at Christmas was a dream of mine. We were supposed the year Mark got the job in Spain. Since he started in Dec we had to postpone for a year, but it was worth it. We rang in the New Year next to the Eiffel Tower.
YTSL, I never really noticed that, but the cars really are similar.
Marta, Paris makes me sparkle when I think of it. Sigh....
My journey began 6 years ago, when I married my partner of 10 years. 3 days later he left to start a new job in southern Spain. I joined him 6 months later, for what I thought would be a year. A year quickly turned into 5. On New Year's Eve 2008, Mark asked me where I wanted to ring in 2009. Off the top of my head I said Sydney. In May we were packing our bags and heading to a new job Down Under. These are the stories of our ex-pat adventures. To learn more about me see my posts under lamaya.
Hi Maya, that's a great photo and a wonderful take on this week's theme. Paris during Christmas must be really cool.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Weird I know but the cars in the photo caught my eye -- because they look so similar somehow!
ReplyDeleteAh... Paris - city of lights. It definitely does sparkle.
