A Foreign Affair

This week's photohunt theme is foreign.

Every summer WOMADelaide is held in Adelaide.  WOMAD stands for "World of Music, Arts and Dance."  The event's aim is to bring together artists from all over the globe. For four days the Adelelaide Botanical Park is turned into a showcase of foreign music, art and dance.

  1. Is the festival as fun as it sounds? Hope so! :)

  2. Music is a perfect choice. We used to have a Womad here in Seattle but never made it to the concert. That is a cool sign.

  3. Again this is one of those themes that can easily take so many directions. I'd have never thought of that. Beautiful and great for the theme.

Thanks for dropping by my blog and I hope I see you again soon.

  4. I've never been to a WOMAD festival. Sounds like a lot of fun.

  5. YTSL-we went for one night and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this year the weather wasn't very cooperative and it was a bit rainy and windy.

Marta-I was struggling with the theme, and we just happened to go to the concert Friday night, so it worked out perfectly.

Scott-it was interesting to see everyones take on the theme. I am not sure what I would have done if we hadn't gone to the concert on Friday night.

Azahar-We talked about going last year, but didn't get around to it. This year when I saw one of my favorite bands was playing, it made the must do list. It was a lot of fun even though we just did one night.
